A few years ago, we decided as a Club to become independent. We will stay affiliated with the SAA but any qualified divers who wish to join our club may do so without having to cross over their qualifications, or having to join the SAA. They can dive on their current qualifications subject to recent diving experience and a couple of intro dives. Novices will still be trained under SAA guidelines. As a club we now feel that, as a large number of people often train abroad, and are happy to continue their qualifications with PADI etc, but would still like to be in a dive club without the problems of joining another association, we now offer that facility.
